Outerline 1.0-1423
Summary
Build 1423 makes Markdown files feel more at home on Mac with Finder Quick Look previews, Open With support, instant file-list selection, and double-click-to-open in a new window. On iPhone, it brings a more reliable iCloud sync experience, smoother folder creation, accurate tag-filtered views, and full publish and account support. Publishing is now tied to your Outerline account across Mac, iPhone, and the web, with reusable share links and a new web dashboard for managing published documents.
macOS

.mdand.markdownfiles, rendered as styled plain text. - Outerline now appears in Open With for Markdown files.

- Refined Editor settings with aligned sliders, clearer line-height symbols, and Default buttons positioned under the actual default values.
- Polished document menus and publishing icons for clearer Copy, Share, Edit Title, Publish, and published states.
- Added Move Here to folder submenus so a document can move directly into a parent folder that also contains subfolders.
- The Publish sheet now confirms copied links with a temporary Copied state and checkmark.
Fixes
- File-list selection and editor loading now happen immediately instead of waiting for the double-click interval.
- Fixed slash-formatting results so keyboard and pointer navigation always show the correct highlighted command and reset cleanly between interactions.
- Updated swipe actions with clearer filled icons for Star and Unstar.
- Standardized document move labels to Move to.
iOS
Improvements
- Added a coordinated iCloud library sync experience with clearer availability, progress, retry, and failure states.
- Folder creation now feels immediate, keeps retry state clean after errors, and avoids stale library updates.
- Added Settings > Account, including magic-link sign-in, signed-in account details, Manage Account, and Sign Out.
- Added native Share Link controls for publishing documents, copying public links, and returning shared documents to private access.
- Published documents now update their existing public share automatically after edits are saved.
- Renamed the Editor settings Font section to Layout and aligned document actions and publishing icons with macOS.
Fixes
- Stabilized the initial iCloud sync row and reduced document-list flashing while progress and file availability change.

- Fixed tag-filtered document lists so the title, count, selected tags, rows, and subtitle are correct on first appearance and stay current.
- Improved the web sign-in page on iPhone so the email field remains visible above the keyboard.
- Updated swipe actions with clearer filled icons for Star and Unstar.
Publish & Share
Improvements
- Publishing now uses your Outerline account across macOS and iOS, replacing anonymous local publishing credentials.
- Added distinct Sign in and Create account flows, including registration confirmation and invite-code support for the private rollout.
- Publishing and Account actions now open the hosted sign-in experience directly.
- Share status is now reconciled with the signed-in account, and republishing a document preserves its existing public URL.
- Added web Account settings for reviewing account details, changing email, signing out, deleting an account, and managing published documents.
- Added a responsive Published shares table where you can open or unpublish links from across connected devices.
- Refreshed hosted sign-in, registration, email confirmation, account, and administration pages to match Outerline’s public-share design.
Fixes
- Hardened registration so repeated requests reuse pending accounts and only the newest confirmation link remains valid.
- Fixed stale publish metadata and temporary status-check failures so documents no longer appear shared incorrectly or create duplicate shares.
- Repaired background share updates when cached link information is missing or out of date.
- Fixed Published shares content that could render invisibly in Safari when a saved custom stylesheet was active.
- Removed the legacy macOS publishing rollout flags so account and publish features are consistently available.
